Do you believe generations of people paying rent to landlords is better than cooperative or CLT ownership? Seems comparable to the notion that a decent wage is better than workers collectively in control of the means of production.

No I don’t agree w that but I also don’t think CLTs and shared equity coops and homeownership as most Americans understand it should be described as the same thing One is abt collective self determination of a community and the greater good one is about exclusion

Everyone who works in housing knows the homeowner v renter binary is not a real distinction but there are definitely many different ways to move in the center of that Venn diagram and some undermine our ability to build a better world and some dont
